A corporation the size of DB has thousands and thousands of existing documents (set in Arial, of course) that need to conform to the new corporate design but cannot have the text reflow. We refitted the Sans to Arial's widths, losing many of the more interesting details but improving on Arial's fit and retaining the distinctive 'g' and figures. The italic was particularly difficult to fit on the same widths. We thought the monospaced version (matching Courier in width) was a little more clever, but ultimately not practical as the main office face. Regular and Bold with italics.
